I am a Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Surgeon, with a career marked by excellence and dedication. After graduating with Honours from the University of Bristol in 2009, I began my surgical training in South Wales before progressing to specialist registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Yorkshire. After completing my training in 2021, I undertook a prestigious fellowship in hand, wrist, and upper limb surgery at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, where I refined my skills in advanced hand and wrist procedures and upper limb trauma surgery. Subsequently, I was appointed in 2022 as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Harrogate District Hospital, where I manage a large NHS practice in the trust. I also provide weekly appointments at The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate and fortnightly appointments at Huddersfield Private Hospital, in West Yorkshire.
I specialise in all aspects of hand and wrist surgery, addressing conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, Dupuytren’s contracture, hand and wrist arthritis, peripheral nerve compressions, and tendon disorders. This also includes but is not limited to sporting injuries, TFCC injuries, tendon disorders, nail pathologies, malunion corrections, and the treatment of painful lumps and bumps in the hand and upper limb. My trauma practice includes fractures and injuries of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and clavicle.
In addition to my clinical practice in Harrogate and Huddersfield, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of surgeons. I actively train junior doctors and surgical trainees, sharing my expertise to advance the field of orthopaedics. I am also an accomplished researcher, contributing to numerous publications in hand and wrist surgery.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy playing golf and spending quality time with my family, balancing professional excellence with a fulfilling personal life.
